Welcome to Leap Gap
July 6th, 2006My name is Luis Ricardo Prada. Most people call me Ricardo.
LeapGap.com is where I store my ideas and experience in the world of Human Factors, Applied Psychology, Cognitive Engineering, and Human Computer Interaction design.

…is a design I created with some friends (Carl Smith, Mohammad Rahman and Nicholas Prada) to show how the problems with BMW’s first major in-car computer system might be corrected. This design eventually made it to publication in User Experience magazine.
My work lately involves a mixture of desktop Human Computer Interaction, through my temporary position at Google, and Human Factors evaluations of high-performance vehicle designs through my collaboration with Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
During the academic year, I carry out safety research for the Federal Aviation Administration, by way of George Mason University’s PhD program in applied psychology.
